Tempus' charity
I greet the dawn with a short prayer to Tempus to watch over the poor farmer and his family, and to infuse me with the strength to do what is needed to finally put poor St. Oswin to rest. A feeling washes over me to be charitable towards the farmer and his family in recompense for Vollum's avarice and my mistake in allowing him to take the farmer's last remaining money. Before my travelling companions rise, I make the short journey back to the farmer's cottage.I find the farmer hard at work, making good the damage caused by the Terror to his little cottage. I shout a greeting, and he waves warmly towards me. We shake hands, and I enquire on the health of his wife and child. I hand him a small bag of gold from my belt, gifting ten gold to replace what I allowed Vollum to take the previous day. A small contribution from Tempus towards setting their lives back on track. He bursts out crying, expressing his thanks. They all give me hugs, but I feel very uncomfortable and take my leave. As I say farewell, the farmer makes it clear I am always welcome at his hearth.
By the time I return to the Inn, the others are gathering in the common room. No one asks where I may have been, and I don't explain.
